A voastra,

English version, thanks to

Let’s be serious, we like women with make-up!

Each one of us is free to promote and lobby for what he wants. This is why we’re in 2017 and this is why the Internet is making us free (as the commercial says), only it would be nice to be careful with what, where, how and who we want to influence. Do we want to influence 13 years old girls to drop off the eyeliner line, which isn’t appropriate for them at their age? Or do we just want to believe we’re more important?

I’m not wearing make-up around the clock, day by day, on the contrary, sometimes full days go by and my face isn’t getting anything else except moisturizer. But man, when I have to go to events, or meetings, or when I’m just simply in the mood to do it, I wear make-up. More discreet, or more intense, it doesn’t matter, but I do wear make-up. I wear make-up because make-up gives me a good feeling, it highlights my eyelashes line, my slightly hidden cheeks, it precisely defines the curve of my lip and it gives me the feeling that I’m wearing clothes.

In the same way we’re not always walking around naked, without clothes, I wish I can sometimes dress my face as well. And I do it with pride and I promote make-up and the professional make-up products, and I respect this profession and enjoy it. I enjoy the results, the changes, highlighting the features.

But I get mad when I hear that our ladies want to copy Alicia Keys and start lobbying the natural look. Ok, natural is natural, but how natural are you guys? Do you think that a natural look is made by a foundation applied on the face or not?

I hope we won’t divide into two separate camps and there isn’t going to be a lot of fuss regarding this issue, because I noticed that it’s very difficult to build a bridge when the abyss is already there. The idea is simple, if everybody keeps their boundaries and doesn’t take it to the extreme, I think we’re on the right path.

Those who came at #CaravanaSecreteleMachiajului (The Secrets of Make-up Caravan) know that me and Sinziana were very clear about us believing in and wanting to inspire adequate make-up for each feature, nothing exaggerated, nothing out of the ordinary, beautiful make-up which beautifies women.

Men say „I like you natural”, but they turn their heads around after the first woman with make-up and they can’t get enough watching us when our eyelashes are curved with mascara and our lips are red. Let’s be serious, we like women with make-up.

Please, keep your heads on your shoulders and above the waterline, stop exaggerating with trends that don’t help, don’t wear make-up when you don’t feel like it, but don’t quit entirely, so you don’t become extremists, because we have a lot of other good things to fight for.

See you soon,
